Method
Marinating the Beef
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and black pepper. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
- 2
Add Green Onions
Stir in the chopped green onions into the marinade mixture.
- 3
Marinate the Beef
Slice the flank steak or ribeye against the grain into thin strips and add it to the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for best flavor.
Grilling and Serving

Prepare the Grill
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, heat it on the stove over medium-high heat.

Grill the Beef
Remove the beef from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the beef strips on the grill, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is achieved.

- 7
Serve
Serve the grilled beef over a bed of cooked rice, topped with the grilled vegetables. Optionally, garnish with additional chopped green onions or sesame seeds.
