Preparation

1

Clean the Beef Intestine

Rinse the beef intestine thoroughly under cold running water to remove any impurities. You can use a bit of salt to help clean it better. Once cleaned, cut it into manageable pieces, about 3-4 inches long.

2

Prepare the Onion

Peel the onion and slice it into thin rings or wedges, depending on your preference.

3

Prepare the Tofu

Carefully cut the soft tofu into cubes, about 1 inch in size. Handle gently to avoid breaking the tofu.

Cooking

4

Boil the Beef Intestine

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the cleaned beef intestine to the boiling water and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until tender.

5

Add Seasoning

After the beef intestine has boiled, add the sliced onion, salt, black pepper, soy sauce, ginger, and minced garlic to the pot. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

6

Add Soft Tofu

Gently add the cubed soft tofu into the pot, being careful not to break the tofu. Allow the mixture to simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes on low heat, letting the flavors meld together.

Serving

7

Serve Hot

Once cooked, ladle the beef intestine and soft tofu into bowls, ensuring each serving has a good amount of broth. Serve hot, and enjoy your delicious Beef Intestine Soft Tofu!
