Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Julienne the carrot and zucchini. Blanch the spinach and bean sprouts in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then drain and set aside. Sauté the sliced mushrooms in a pan over medium heat until tender, about 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Protein

In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef (or your choice of protein) until browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Cook the Egg

Fry or poach the egg to your liking. For a sunny-side-up egg, cook in a non-stick skillet over low heat until the whites are set but the yolk remains runny.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Bibimbap

In a large bowl, place 1 cup of cooked rice at the bottom. Arrange the prepared vegetables (carrot, zucchini, spinach, mushrooms, and bean sprouts) and the cooked protein on top of the rice in sections. Place the fried or poached egg in the center.

  2. 5

    Add Toppings

Drizzle sesame oil over the top and add gochujang. Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish.

  3. 6

    Mix and Serve

Before eating, mix all the ingredients together thoroughly. Serve immediately.
