Steak

Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub each ribeye steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Once hot, place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer to reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick) to form fries.

  2. 6

    Soak the Fries

Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps achieve crispy fries.

  3. 7

    Drain and Dry

After soaking, drain the fries and pat them dry with paper towels to remove moisture.

  4. 8

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  5. 9

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the dried fries to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 10

    Season the Fries

While still hot, sprinkle the fries with salt to taste.

Herb Butter

  1. 11

    Prepare the Herb Butter

In a mixing bowl, combine the unsalted butter, minced parsley, minced chives, minced garlic, and lemon juice.

  2. 12

    Mix Well

Using a fork or spatula, mix all ingredients until thoroughly combined. You can also use a food processor for a smoother consistency.

  3. 13

    Chill the Butter

Transfer the herb butter to a piece of plastic wrap, roll it into a log shape, and refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes.
