Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

    Sear the Steak

Add the seasoned ribeye steaks to the skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time for preferred doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Garlic and Rosemary

During the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the minced garlic and fresh rosemary to the pan. Baste the steaks with the melted butter and aromatics.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 6

    Cook the Potatoes

Place the peeled and cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Cook until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 7

    Drain the Potatoes

Once cooked, drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.

  3. 8

    Mash the Potatoes

Add the butter, minced garlic, milk, salt, and black pepper to the drained potatoes. Mash until creamy and smooth.

  4. 9

    Adjust Seasoning

Taste the mashed potatoes and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
