Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and then add the pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Drain the Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside. Do not rinse.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Sauté Garlic

In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.

  2. 4

    Add Tomatoes

Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes start to soften and release their juices.

  3. 5

    Season the Sauce

Stir in the chopped fresh basil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Combine and Serve

  1. 6

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.

  2. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
