Keftedes Ingredients

Method

Keftedes Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped mint, egg, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Keftedes

Using your hands, take a small amount of the mixture and form it into small balls or patties, about the size of a golf ball. Place them on a plate or tray.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Make sure the oil covers the bottom of the skillet.

  4. 4

    Cook the Keftedes

Once the oil is hot, carefully place the formed keftedes in the skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

  5. 5

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the keftedes from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm with lemon wedges or your choice of dipping sauce.
