Start by running a lime wedge around the rim of your glass to moisten it. Then, dip the rim into a small plate of salt to coat it evenly. Set the glass aside.

In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of freshly squeezed lime juice, 1 oz of triple sec, and 0.5 oz of simple syrup.
