Churros

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Churro Dough

In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in flour until well blended. Let it cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).

  3. 3

    Pipe the Churros

Transfer the churro dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe strips of dough (about 4-6 inches long) into the hot oil, cutting them with scissors.

  4. 4

    Fry the Churros

Fry the churros for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, flipping as needed. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Dust with Sugar

In a bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon. While churros are still warm, roll them in the sugar mixture until well coated.
