Method

Meatballs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meatballs

In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatballs

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Arrange them on a baking sheet.

  3. 3

    Bake the Meatballs

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake the meatballs for 20 minutes or until browned.

Sauce

  1. 4

    Sauté the Aromatics

In a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Sauce

Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and sugar to the saucepan. Stir to combine.

  3. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.

Spaghetti

  1. 7

    Cook the Spaghetti

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  2. 8

    Drain the Spaghetti

Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and return it to the pot, keeping it warm.

Salad

  1. 9

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber.

  2. 10

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad. Season with salt and black pepper. Toss gently to combine.

Garlic Bread

  1. 11

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley until well combined.

  2. 12

    Spread on the Bread

Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves.

  3. 13

    Bake the Garlic Bread

Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
