Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Coleslaw

In a mixing bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated. Adjust seasoning to taste. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Seafood

Rinse the whole fish under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Season the fish with salt and pepper on both sides. For the shrimp, peel and devein them, leaving the tails on for presentation. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Clam Strips

If using frozen clam strips, follow the package instructions for cooking (usually deep-frying or baking).

Cooking

  1. 4

    Cook the Fish

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add a little oil to the pan if using a skillet. Cook the fish for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the flesh is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  2. 5

    Cook the Shrimp

In the same skillet or on the grill, cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.

  3. 6

    Cook the Fries

While the seafood is cooking, prepare the French fries according to the package instructions, typically deep-frying or baking until golden brown and crispy.
