Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the Angus ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until well combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Burger

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burger

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover the grill or skillet with a lid to melt the cheese.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger bun if desired. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of the bun. Top with lettuce, tomato slice, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.

  6. 6

    Serve

Close the burger with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately and enjoy your 1/2 lb Angus burger!
