Prepare the Beef Patty
In a bowl, season the 1/3 lb of ground beef with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Form the beef into a patty, about the size of the bread slices.

Cook the Patty
In the same skillet used for the onions, cook the beef patty over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, ensuring it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for safety. During the last minute of cooking, place 2 slices of Swiss cheese on top of the patty to melt.
