Method

Tea Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, remove the tea bags from the saucepan and discard them.

Sweetening (optional)

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If you prefer sweet tea, add 1 cup of granulated sugar or 0.5 cup of honey to the hot tea. Stir until fully dissolved.

Flavoring (optional)

  1. 5

    Add Flavor

For additional flavor, mix in 0.5 cup of lemon juice and stir. You can also add in mint leaves or peach slices at this point.

Chill and Serve

  1. 6

    Cool Tea

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  2. 7

    Serve

To serve, fill a glass with 2 cups of ice cubes. Pour the chilled tea over the ice and garnish with fresh lemon slices.
