Method

Preparation of Lemonade Base

  1. 1

    Juicing the Lemons

Cut the fresh lemons in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or by hand. You should get about 1 cup of lemon juice.

  2. 2

    Mixing the Lemonade Base

In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, granulated sugar, and 4 cups of water. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Adding Cherry Flavor (Optional)

  1. 3

    Incorporating Cherry Juice

If you want to create cherry lemonade, add 1 cup of cherry juice to the lemonade mixture and stir until well combined.

  2. 4

    Garnishing with Cherries

Add maraschino cherries to the mixture for extra flavor and a fun garnish.

Freezing and Serving

  1. 5

    Freezing the Mixture

Pour the lemonade mixture into ice cube trays or a shallow dish and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until solid.

  2. 6

    Blending the Frozen Mixture

Once frozen, break the lemonade into chunks and place them in a blender. Blend until slushy and smooth.

  3. 7

    Serving the Frozen Lemonade

Scoop the frozen lemonade into glasses, adding ice cubes if desired. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a refreshing touch.
