Main Ingredients

For Cooking

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, black pepper, and chopped green onions. Gently fold the ingredients together until well combined, taking care not to break up the crab meat too much.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Using your hands, form the crab mixture into patties, about 2 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. Place the formed patties on a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.

  2. 4

    Cook Crab Cakes

Carefully place the crab cakes in the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown, then gently flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes on the other side until golden brown and cooked through.

  3. 5

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, transfer the crab cakes to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or a side salad.
