Chicken Marinade

Sandwich Assembly

Method

Marinate the Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, and lemon juice. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it's evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.

Grill the Chicken

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F or 190-200°C).

  2. 4

    Grill the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  3. 5

    Rest the Chicken

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Assemble the Sandwich

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

Cut the sandwich buns in half. If desired, toast them on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on each bun, followed by a slice of grilled chicken, a slice of tomato, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
