Directions
- 1
Cook the Bacon
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the bacon slices. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes, flipping occasionally. Once cooked, transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess fat.
- 2
Prepare the Lettuce
While the bacon is cooking, wash the lettuce leaves under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel and then tear them into smaller, sandwich-sized pieces.
- 3
Slice the Tomato
Wash the tomato and slice it into even rounds, about 1/4 inch thick. Season with salt and pepper to enhance the flavor.
- 4
Toast the Bread
In the same skillet used for the bacon or in a toaster, lightly toast the slices of bread until golden brown on both sides.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwich
Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread. On two slices, layer the crispy bacon, followed by the lettuce, and then the tomato slices. Season the tomato with additional salt and pepper if desired. Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayonnaise side down.
- 6
Serve
Cut the sandwiches in half diagonally and serve immediately with your favorite side, such as chips or a pickle.
