Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, add the bacon slices. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Beat the Eggs

In a bowl, crack the eggs and beat them with a fork until well mixed. Add salt and black pepper to taste.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Eggs

In the same skillet used for the bacon, lower the heat to medium-low and add the butter. Once melted, pour in the beaten eggs. Stir gently with a spatula, cooking until the eggs are just set but still slightly creamy.

  2. 4

    Add Cheese

Place the slice of cheddar cheese on top of the eggs during the last minute of cooking. Cover the skillet with a lid to help the cheese melt.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

If using bread, toast the slices in the same skillet until golden brown. Place the crispy bacon on one slice of toast, top with the cheesy scrambled eggs, and then close with the other slice of bread. You can also serve it open-faced.
