Method

Prepare the Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the Angus ground beef with salt and black pepper. Use your hands to mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the mixture into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of the patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

Cook the Patty

  1. 3

    Heat the Grill/Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patty

Place the formed patty on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned. Flip the patty and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patty to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Bun

While the patty cooks, slice the burger bun in half and toast it lightly if desired.

  2. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of the bun, place a leaf of lettuce, followed by the tomato slices and pickles. Then, place the cooked Angus cheeseburger patty on top.

  3. 8

    Add Condiments

Drizzle ketchup and mustard over the patty according to your taste, then place the top half of the bun over the burger.
