Burger Ingredients

Burger Assembly

Method

Cooking the Bacon

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, place the bacon strips and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Flip halfway through for even cooking.

  2. 2

    Drain the Bacon

Once cooked, remove the bacon from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

Preparing the Burger

  1. 3

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide into two equal portions and form into burger patties, ensuring they are slightly larger than the buns.

  2. 4

    Cook the Burger

In the same skillet used for bacon, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for another 3 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to let it melt.

Frying the Eggs

  1. 6

    Fry the Eggs

In a separate pan, crack the eggs and fry them sunny-side up or to your desired doneness, about 2-3 minutes.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Toast the Buns

If desired, toast the burger buns in the skillet until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom bun, place a leaf of lettuce, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, and fried egg. Top with a slice of tomato, ketchup, and mustard before placing the top bun.
