Burger Patty

Fried Egg

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

  2. 2

    Mix the Beef

In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Form the Patty

Shape the beef mixture into a patty, ensuring it’s slightly larger than the burger bun as it will shrink while cooking.

Cook the Burger Patty

  1. 4

    Cook the Patty

In the same skillet used for bacon, cook the beef patty over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) to ensure it’s thoroughly cooked.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place the cheddar cheese slice on top of the patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Fry the Egg

  1. 6

    Heat the Butter

In a separate small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

  2. 7

    Fry the Egg

Crack the egg into the skillet and cook until the white is set and the yolk is to your preference (sunny side up or over easy).

Assemble the Burger

  1. 8

    Prepare the Bun

Slice the burger bun in half and toast it lightly if desired.

  2. 9

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of the bun, place the lettuce leaves, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, and tomato slices. Top with the fried egg.

  3. 10

    Finish the Burger

Place the top half of the bun on the assembled ingredients and press down gently.
