Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground Angus beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help it cook evenly.

Cook the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patty

Place the burger patty on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip the patty.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

After flipping the patty, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Bun

Toast the burger bun lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, place the lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.

  3. 8

    Complete the Burger

Place the top half of the toasted bun over the toppings to complete the burger.
