Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground Angus beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  2. 2

Shape the mixture into a patty approximately 3/4 inch thick.

Cook the Burger Patty

  1. 3

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

Once hot, place the burger patty on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned.

  3. 5

Flip the patty and continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness.

  4. 6

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patty and cover to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

Toast the burger bun lightly on the grill or in a toaster for added texture.

  2. 8

Place the cooked Angus burger patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of the toasted bun.

  3. 9

Layer with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and add ketchup and mustard to taste.

  4. 10

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
