Ribeye Steak

Method

Prepare the Ribeye

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over both sides of the ribeye steaks. Let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to allow the seasoning to penetrate.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the ribeye steaks. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Make the Kasespaetzel

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then mix in the milk. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a thick batter forms.

  2. 4

    Cook the Kasespaetzel

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Using a spaetzle maker or a colander with large holes, press the batter into the boiling water. Cook until the spaetzle floats to the top, about 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and transfer to a bowl.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese and Butter

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the cooked spaetzle to the skillet and toss with grated cheese until melted. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until lightly browned.

  4. 6

    Garnish

Sprinkle chopped parsley over the Kasespaetzel before serving.
