Preparation Steps
1. Chill the Glass
Place a rocks glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare the drink.
2. Prepare the Ice
If you prefer extra chilled bourbon, fill a mixing glass with ice cubes.
3. Measure the Bourbon
Pour 2 ounces (about 60 ml) of Bulleit Bourbon whiskey into the mixing glass filled with ice.
4. Add Bitters
Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters to the bourbon in the mixing glass.
5. Stir the Mixture
Stir the bourbon and bitters gently with a bar spoon for about 30 seconds to chill and dilute slightly.
6. Strain into Glass
Remove the rocks glass from the freezer or discard the ice water. Strain the bourbon mixture into the chilled glass over a large ice cube or fresh ice.
7. Garnish
Twist a piece of orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it into the glass for garnish.
8. Serve
Enjoy your Bulleit Bourbon neat, on the rocks, or however you prefer.
