Yassa Chicken Wings Ingredients
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine chicken wings, sliced onions, minced garlic, mustard, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and bay leaves. Mix well and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.
- 2
Cook the Chicken
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the marinated chicken wings on a baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are crispy and cooked through.
- 3
Prepare the Sauteed Vegetables
While the chicken is baking, heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced green and yellow bell peppers and remaining onions. Sauté until soft and slightly caramelized.
- 4
Make the Mustard Sauce
In a small saucepan, combine the remaining mustard and water. Cook over low heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally.
- 5
Serve
Once the chicken wings are done, serve them hot topped with sautéed vegetables and drizzled with the tangy mustard sauce.
