Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salad Base

In a large bowl, combine the sliced cucumber, chopped scallions, grated carrot, snap peas, and diced avocado. Toss gently to mix.

  2. 2

    Sear the Tuna

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle sesame seeds on both sides of the tuna steaks. Add a little oil to the skillet and sear the tuna for about 1-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let it rest.

  3. 3

    Prepare Dressing

You can choose between miso-yogurt dressing or turmeric vinaigrette. For miso-yogurt: mix 2 tablespoons of miso with 1/2 cup of yogurt, and add a splash of lemon juice. For turmeric vinaigrette: whisk together 1/4 cup olive oil, 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon turmeric, salt, and pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Salad

Slice the seared tuna into thin strips. Top the salad base with the sliced tuna, cashews, and crispy wontons. Drizzle the dressing over the salad.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your fresh seared tuna chop salad!
