Cheesecake Base

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crust

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheesecake Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add granulated sugar and beat until well combined. Mix in sour cream and vanilla extract. Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined. Finally, add flour and mix until smooth.

  3. 3

    Bake the Cheesecake

Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust. Bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.

  4. 4

    Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven and crack the door open. Let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour. Remove from oven, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  5. 5

    Seasonal Topping

Before serving, add your choice of seasonal fruit or sauce on top of the cheesecake, such as fresh berries, pumpkin puree, or caramel sauce.
