Method

Beverages

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 16 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 8 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot. If you like your tea stronger, you can leave them in a bit longer, but be careful not to let it become too bitter.

  4. 4

    Cool Down

Let the tea cool to room temperature. If you're short on time, you can place the pot in an ice bath to speed up the cooling process.

  5. 5

    Add Ice

Once the tea has cooled, fill a large pitcher with 4 cups of ice and pour the cooled tea over the ice.

  6. 6

    Serve

Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves as desired. Serve chilled in glasses over additional ice if preferred.
