Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together until well combined. Add the milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon, and whisk until everything is fully incorporated.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Take the thick slices of bread and set them aside. Ensure they are slightly stale for better absorption of the egg mixture.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the bacon slices. Cook until crispy, turning occasionally, about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease.

  4. 4

    Heat the Skillet

In the same skillet used for bacon, remove excess grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon. Lower the heat slightly and add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet.

  5. 5

Dip and Cook the French Toast

Once the butter is melted and bubbling, dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side. Place the soaked bread into the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Repeat with the remaining slices, adding more butter as needed.

  6. 6

    Serve

Once all slices are cooked, plate the French toast alongside the crispy bacon. Top with fresh fruit for a delicious breakfast.
