Desserts

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Cream Butter and Sugars

In a large bowl, using a hand mixer or stand mixer, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  5. 5

    Add Egg and Vanilla

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

  6. 6

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

  7. 7

    Fold in Chocolate Chips

Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon.

  8. 8

    Scoop the Dough

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie to allow for spreading.

  9. 9

    Bake the Cookies

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may look slightly underbaked.

  10. 10

    Cool the Cookies

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

  11. 11

    Individual Packaging (Optional)

If desired, once cooled, package each cookie individually in plastic wrap or small bags for easy sharing or gifting.
