Tiramisu Preparation

Prepare the Coffee Mixture
Brew espresso and let it cool. If using coffee liqueur, mix it with the espresso once cooled.

Whip the Cream
In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with half of the granulated sugar until soft peaks form. Set aside.

Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.

Soak Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the espresso mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer Tiramisu
In a rectangular dish, layer half of the soaked ladyfingers. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.

Chill and Serve
Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
