Method

Prepare the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary. Allow the steaks to marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F/232°C).

Grill the Steak

  1. 3

    Grill the Steaks

Place the ribeye steaks on the hot grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Prepare the Fries

  1. 4

    Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into uniform strips, about 1/4 inch thick, to ensure even cooking.

  2. 5

    Soak the Potatoes

Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain and pat the fries dry. Carefully add them to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 8

    Season the Fries

Immediately sprinkle the hot fries with salt to taste.

Serve

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

Slice the grilled ribeye steaks against the grain and serve alongside the crispy fries. Enjoy your Steak Frites!
