Tortilla Chips
Method
Crab Dip
- 1
Prepare the Base
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth and well-blended.
- 2
Add Crab and Seasonings
Gently fold in the cooked crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- 3
Chill the Dip
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
Tortilla Chips
- 4
Prepare the Tortillas
Cut each corn tortilla into 6 wedges.
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 6
Fry the Chips
Working in batches, add the tortilla wedges to the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally.
- 7
Drain and Season
Using a slotted spoon, remove the chips from the oil and drain on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
- 8
Serve
Serve the crab dip chilled with the freshly made tortilla chips.
