Stuffed Mushrooms Preparation

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Mushrooms
Clean the Portobello mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems. Set the caps aside and finely chop the stems.

Combine Filling
In a large bowl, combine the sautéed garlic and shallots with the chopped mushroom stems, blue crab meat, breadcrumbs, cream cheese, chopped parsley, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff the Mushrooms
Fill each Portobello mushroom cap generously with the crab mixture, pressing it down slightly to ensure it holds together.

Bake the Mushrooms
Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the mushrooms are tender.

Make the Sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, and garlic powder. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.

Add salt and black pepper to taste, adjusting the spice level as desired.
