Fried Green Tomatoes
Remoulade Sauce
Method
Fried Green Tomatoes
- 1
Prepare the Tomatoes
Wash and slice the green tomatoes into 1/2-inch thick slices. Place them on a paper towel to absorb excess moisture.
- 2
Set Up the Breading Station
In three separate shallow bowls, set up your breading station. In the first bowl, place the all-purpose flour mixed with 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of black pepper. In the second bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In the third bowl, combine the cornmeal with a pinch of salt.

- 4
Fry the Tomatoes
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded tomato slices in batches, without overcrowding the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 5
Garnish
Once all tomatoes are fried, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and chopped green onions on top of the warm tomatoes.
Remoulade Sauce
- 6
Mix the Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
- 7
Serve
Serve the fried green tomatoes warm, drizzled with the remoulade sauce on top.
