Preparation of Vegetables

  1. 1

    Chop the Cabbage

Remove the outer leaves of the green and red cabbage. Cut them in half, remove the core, and slice thinly into strips until you have 4 cups of shredded green cabbage and 2 cups of shredded red cabbage.

  2. 2

    Grate the Carrots

Peel the carrots and use a grater to shred them until you have 2 cups of shredded carrots.

  3. 3

    Slice the Green Onions

Trim the roots off the green onions and slice them thinly to yield 1 cup.

Mixing Dressing

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of celery seed.

  2. 5

Using a whisk, mix the dressing ingredients together until smooth and well combined.
