Muddle the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, place the sugar cube and add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters. Muddle them together until the sugar is dissolved.

Add Bourbon
Pour 2 ounces of bourbon into the mixing glass with the muddled sugar and bitters.

Add Ice
Add 3 ice cubes to the mixing glass to chill the drink.

Stir
Stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds to ensure it is well chilled and combined.

Strain into Glass
Strain the mixture into an Old Fashioned glass filled with one large ice cube or several smaller ones.

Garnish
Express the oils from a piece of orange peel over the drink by holding it over the glass and giving it a twist. Then drop the peel into the glass. Finally, add a maraschino cherry as a garnish.
