Method

Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 5

    Bake the Cake

Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

  6. 6

    Add Dulce De Leche

After 15 minutes, remove the cake from the oven and carefully spread the dulce de leche over the top of the baked layer.

  7. 7

    Finish Baking

Pour the remaining batter over the dulce de leche and return to the oven. Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Topping Preparation

  1. 8

    Prepare Cinnamon Sugar

While the cake is baking, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.

  2. 9

    Apply Topping

Once the cake is done baking, remove it from the oven and immediately brush the top with melted butter. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top evenly.

  3. 10

    Cool and Serve

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before serving. Cut into squares and enjoy!
