Brownie Batter Preparation

Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat once melted.

Mix Sugars
Add 1.5 cups of granulated sugar and 0.5 cups of brown sugar to the melted butter. Stir until well combined.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Beat in 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 0.75 cups of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 0.5 tsp of salt.

Incorporate Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Bake Brownies
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Prepare Chocolate Drizzle
In a small saucepan, combine 0.5 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 0.25 cups of heavy cream. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.

Assemble the Dish
Once the brownies have cooled, cut them into squares. Serve each square with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, and drizzle the melted chocolate over the ice cream and brownie.
