Ingredients

Salmon

Sticky Rice

Preparation

Preparing the Salmon

1. Marinate the Salmon

In a bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Coat the salmon fillets in this marinade and let them sit for at least 15 minutes.

2. Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat while the salmon marinates.

3. Grill the Salmon

Place the marinated salmon fillets on the grill, skin side down. Grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Preparing the Sticky Rice

4. Soak the Rice

Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.

5. Cook the Rice

After soaking, drain the rice and add it to a pot with 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20-25 minutes until the rice is tender and water is absorbed.

6. Prepare Coconut Mixture

In a separate saucepan, combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Heat gently until the sugar is dissolved, but do not boil.

7. Combine and Serve

Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork, then stir in the coconut mixture. Serve the sticky rice alongside the grilled salmon.
