Method

For the Grilled Brandt Sirloin

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the Brandt sirloin steak and rub it with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the marinated sirloin on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

For the Smashed Baby Potatoes

  1. 3

    Boil the Potatoes

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the baby potatoes and cook for about 15-20 minutes or until fork-tender.

  2. 4

    Smash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and let them cool slightly. Using the bottom of a glass or a potato masher, gently smash each potato until flattened.

  3. 5

    Add Toppings

In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Pour the garlic butter over the smashed potatoes, and sprinkle with chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper before serving.

For the Chimichurri Sauce

  1. 6

    Prepare the Chimichurri

In a food processor, combine fresh parsley, oregano, garlic, red wine vinegar, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Blend until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  2. 7

    Serve the Sauce

Drizzle the chimichurri sauce over the grilled sirloin steak just before serving.

For the Chili-Pepper String Beans

  1. 8

    Prepare the String Beans

Trim the ends of the fresh green beans and rinse them under cold water.

  2. 9

    Sauté the Beans

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the green beans, chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.

  3. 10

    Serve

Transfer the sautéed string beans to a serving platter and serve alongside the grilled sirloin and smashed potatoes.
