Toppings

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined and form into a patty approximately 1-inch thick.

  2. 2

Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

Make the Grilled Cheese

  1. 3

Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place two slices of bread butter-side down on a skillet over medium heat.

  2. 4

Layer one slice of American cheese and one slice of cheddar cheese on each of the bread slices in the skillet.

  3. 5

Top with the remaining two slices of bread, butter-side up. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. 6

Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about another 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and cut in half.

Cook the Bacon

  1. 7

In the same skillet, add the bacon slices and cook over medium heat until crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 8

Slice the tomato into thin rounds.

  2. 9

Place the cooked burger patty on one half of the grilled cheese sandwich, top with crispy bacon and tomato slices, and cover with the other half of the grilled cheese.

  3. 10

Serve immediately and enjoy your Fatty Melt Burger!
