Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Form the Burger Patties

In a large bowl, divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 4 oz each. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Grill the Patties

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, brush each patty with BBQ sauce.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Artisan Rolls

While the patties are cooking, slice the artisan rolls in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted roll, layer lettuce, the grilled burger patty, crispy bacon, onion rings, and slices of tomato. Drizzle with campfire sauce and top with the other half of the roll.

Campfire Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Campfire Sauce

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, hot sauce, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
