Main Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Potatoes

  1. 1

    Cut and Soak

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin matchstick shapes. Soak them in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 2

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and pat them dry. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the potatoes until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt.

Cooking the Filet Mignon

  1. 3

    Season the Meat

Season the filet mignon pieces with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. 4

    Sear the Meat

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned filet mignon and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let rest for a few minutes.

Preparing the Vegetables

  1. 5

    Cook the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if needed and sauté the seasonal vegetables until tender but still crisp, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, arrange the filet mignon beside a generous serving of the fried potatoes and sautéed seasonal vegetables. Garnish with chopped parsley.
