Method

Preparation of Vegetables

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop all the vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Ensure the broccoli is cut into small florets, bell peppers are sliced into strips, carrots are sliced thinly, snap peas are trimmed, and zucchini is sliced into half-moons.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and water until well combined. This will be the stir-fry sauce.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Stir-Fry the Vegetables

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil (if desired). Once hot, add the broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.

  2. 4

    Add Remaining Vegetables

Add the snap peas and zucchini to the skillet. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until all vegetables are tender-crisp.

  3. 5

    Add the Sauce

Pour the prepared sauce over the stir-fried vegetables. Stir well to coat all the vegetables in the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Garnishing

  1. 6

    Serve the Stir Fry

Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, if using. Serve hot over rice or noodles, if desired.
