Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Jalapenos

Slice the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds to reduce heat if desired. Mince one half of a jalapeno and set aside for later use.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice (squeezed from the lime), salt, black pepper, cumin, and paprika. Place the salmon fillets in the marinade for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes.

  2. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

  3. 5

    Add the Jalapenos

During the last few minutes of grilling, place the jalapeno halves on the grill, cut side down. Grill until they are slightly charred and tender, about 3-4 minutes.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Place the grilled salmon on a plate, top with grilled jalapeno halves, and garnish with fresh cilantro.

  2. 7

    Serve with Lime

Serve the salmon with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
