Method
Prepare the Salad Base
- 1
Wash and Prepare Mixed Greens
Rinse the mixed greens thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. Spin dry or pat dry with a clean towel and place in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Prepare the Mango
Peel the ripe mango, cut it in half, and remove the pit. Slice the mango flesh into thin strips or cubes and add to the bowl with the mixed greens.
Cook the Seared Tuna

- 4
Sear the Tuna
Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the seasoned tuna steak in the skillet and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness (rare to medium-rare is recommended). Remove from skillet and let it rest for a minute.
- 5
Slice the Tuna
Using a sharp knife, thinly slice the seared tuna against the grain into bite-sized pieces.
Make the Dressing
- 6
Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a small bowl, whisk together the wasabi paste, fresh lime juice, honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.
Assemble the Salad
- 7
Combine Ingredients
Add the sliced tuna on top of the mixed greens and mango in the salad bowl. Drizzle the wasabi citrus dressing over the top.
- 8
Toss and Serve
Gently toss the salad to combine all ingredients and ensure the dressing is evenly distributed. Serve immediately.
