Method

Turkey Breast Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Turkey

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Rub the turkey breast with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, and thyme.

  2. 2

    Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan and roast for about 2 to 2.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste occasionally with drippings.

  3. 3

    Rest the Turkey

Remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.

Cornbread Dressing Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Dressing

In a large skillet, sauté chopped onion and celery until soft. In a large bowl, combine crumbled cornbread, sautéed vegetables, chicken broth, beaten eggs, salt, pepper, and sage.

  2. 5

    Bake the Dressing

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.

Gravy Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Gravy

In a saucepan, whisk together flour and turkey drippings over medium heat. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

Cranberry Sauce Preparation

  1. 7

    Cook the Cranberries

In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water. Cook over medium heat until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens. Stir in orange zest.
